Has Your Privacy Been Compromised Without You Even Knowing?

If you are interested in keeping your online privacy forever private, this is a must read for you.

You may all ready have a computer full of little spying programs that are sharing your private life with other people!

Does the idea of that make you feel a little bit uneasy? It Should….

Did you know that you could have hundreds, even thousands of little files on your computer that collect information and send it to various people and companies all over the Internet

That’s right, there could be hundreds of people looking at what you have on your computer.

Do you want that?

What is it that you have on your computer?

Maybe credit card information?

Banking, Real Estate or Financial Details?

Important Family Documents?

Tax Information?

Passwords?

As you can see there are literally dozens of things on your computer that could be obtained by these malicious little programs.

It’s a battle field out there because there are millions of people on the Internet that want to do nothing but get your personal information and exploit it.

This is a huge problem but… Identity Theft Is Preventable…

By “banner ads” I mean AdSense, Auction Ads, Kontera, AdBrite etc. These seem to be all javascript enabled advertising services.

There were no errors being reported on the websites, the ads just didn’t appear. The user was using Firefox, as I do – so I checked using my setup, no problems.

After a few goes at troublingshooting, it was determined that the person was using Kaspersky Internet Security (6.0.2.614). Testing in Internet Explorer also revealed that these advertising services were also being blocked.

After visiting http://www.walkernews.net/2007/04/22/internet-problem-with-kaspersky-default-installation/ I found that the default installation for Kapersky 6.x blocked “banner ads”.

The user checked their Kapersky installation and modified the banner ad setting. They can now view their google ads without issue.

So, if you are experiencing issues viewing “banner ads” in your browser, check your Anti Spyware / Anti Virus software. If you are using Firefox, also check to see if you are using the ADBLOCK add-in.
